Controls Engineer I

Our client, a leader in automation solutions, is seeking a PLC Controls Engineer I to join their team. As a PLC Controls Engineer I, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: PLC Controls Engineer I

Location: Mason, OH

Pay Range: $35-$40/hr (based on experience)

What's the Job?

  • Assist in PLC programming, HMI development, and system commissioning.
  • Support project scope, schedule, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal and external engineering teams.
  • Help develop technical documentation including QA/QC and test plans.
  • Participate in BUAT/UAT/FAT testing and provide post-installation support.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in controls engineering or material handling projects.
  • Exposure to Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware Aveva Edge (or similar HMI platforms).
  • Interest or experience in post and parcel operations is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in dynamic environments.
