  • Ideally 7 to 10 years of commercial construction experience.
  • Have a complete understanding of all aspects and trades involved with the building process.
  • Be a skilled communicator; in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Experience with internet-based bidding sites is preferred (Building Connected and or similar systems).
  • Proficient in Microsoft's - Excel, Word, and Project
  • Understanding of the project delivery approach as a Lump Sum, Competitive Bid, or GMP.
  • Ability to use On-Screen takeoff programs (Planswift).
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu a plus.
  • Experience with ProCore is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and grow as a construction professional within the Company and the overall marketplace.
  • Have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates from a set of construction documents for various types of commercial construction projects.
  • Perform pre-construction services with clients, owners, and engineers.
  • Work efficiently and productively within a team-based atmosphere - Be a good team player.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of the work and required contents for the estimate.
  • Lead and manage multiple bid proposals.
  • Process RFPs, RFQs and complete and reply to these requests
  • Broadcast announcements of bidding opportunities to the Subcontractors and Vendors.
  • Competently review, proof, adjust, and question solicited proposals based upon the developed scopes of work.
  • Research, negotiate, and prepare purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects, including obtaining the necessary insurance requirements.
  • Prepare internal job setup documentation.
  • Ensure company compliance with bidding regulations and goals for each project.
  • Develop, prepare, coordinate, and execute presentations and proposals to clients.
  • Deliver a thorough work product in accordance with deadlines and objectives.
