Position Overview
Weldall Manufacturing is seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer with a strong background in CAD design and CNC programming to join our Engineering team. This role is critical to our production process, responsible for developing advanced CNC programs, creating precise technical drawings, and optimizing manufacturing workflows. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with CAD/CAM software, programming complex CNC machinery, and collaborating across departments to enhance efficiency and ensure top-quality output.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced CNC Programming: Develop and write complex programs for Tanaka Lasers and Kinetic burn tables, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with production goals.
- CAD Expertise: Utilize advanced CAD skills to create, modify, and manage detailed drawings and technical schematics for manufacturing processes.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to translate designs into machine instructions and manufacturing processes.
- Process Documentation: Identify and document manufacturing processes for individual components, ensuring precise internal Bills of Material (BOM).
- Estimating Support: Generate material take-offs and calculate run times to provide accurate data for the Estimating Department.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and shop personnel to address design and process challenges, increasing productivity and reducing operational costs.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for CNC machines and related equipment.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze discrepancies between estimated and actual operations, working with the Estimating team to resolve and enhance accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong CAD design skills and proficiency in advanced CNC programming.
- Extensive experience with blueprint reading, advanced math, and analytical problem-solving.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems. Epicor ERP experience is a plus.
- Specialized training or experience with; Sigmanest CAM Software and Solidworks 2023 or later.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technical Degree in Programming, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming and CAD design experience.
