We are actively seeking experienced and dedicated CNC Mill Machinists on all shifts to join and grow in the PPG organization.
The CNC Machinist is responsible for transforming engineering drawings into precision-machined components using advanced CNC milling equipment. The ideal candidate is capable of independently reading blueprints, proofing new programs, selecting tooling, setting up machines, and producing conforming parts that meet the highest quality standards.
This position is ideal for a machinist who takes pride in craftsmanship, problem-solving, and producing first-time quality parts in a fast-paced prototype environment.

- Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions to manufacture precision components.
- Set up, edit / proof programs, and operate state-of-the-art CNC milling machines
- Select appropriate tooling, work holding, cutting parameters, and machining strategies.
- Inspect work using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gages, indicators, and other inspection equipment.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and security requirements.
- Keep work area organized and maintain equipment in good operating condition.
- Collaborate with programmers, engineers, quality personnel, and supervisors to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to demonstrate on-machine aptitude
- Solid understanding of GD&T with ability to read and interpret drawing requirements
- Experience setting up and operating CNC mills up to 5-axis
- Experience and familiarity machining exotic metals such as Inconel and Titanium, etc.
- Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable to working in a team or minimally supervised environment
- Experience supporting aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-precision industries.
- Familiarity with prototype and short-run manufacturing environments.
- Experience with first article inspections and AS9100 quality systems
Compensation
- Compensation for this role is based on demonstrated ability
- $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
