Responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including design engineers, machinists, and quality assurance teams to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining and process engineering.
Extensive hands-on experience with CNC machine programming, setup & operation. This includes advanced skills like probe & macro programming.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks CAD, Esprit CAM, NX CAM, or equivalent) including simulation software (Vericut).
In-depth knowledge of multi-axis CNC machining (e.g., 3, 4, & 5-axis mills, & multi axis mill-turn lathes).
Strong understanding of GD&T (ASNI Y14.5) & blueprint reading.
Extensive knowledge & use of common metrology & measurement systems.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles & process optimization, including total process ownership.
Excellent problem-solving skills & ability to perform root cause analysis.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
Experience with PC-DMIS CMM programming and/or automation engineering.
Experience in firearms manufacturing.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (preferably Epicor) for production planning.
Certifications such as Six Sigma Green Belt, AS9100, or ISO 9001 experience.
