Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Independently program, set up, and operate 3-5 axis CNC milling machines for mold-making and large-part machining applications.
• Perform programming and necessary program adjustments directly at the machine.
• Prepare tooling, fixtures, workholding, and materials before machining.
• Read engineering drawings and specifications to determine machining requirements and dimensional tolerances.
• Establish and verify setups, tooling offsets, and machining parameters.
• Inspect components to ensure dimensional accuracy and required finish.
• Troubleshoot setup, tooling, programming, and machining issues.
• Monitor machine schedules and workflow, identifying bottlenecks and opportunities to improve uptime.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and machine care.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area.
• These responsibilities combine the published duties with your additional machining requirements.

Qualifications Needed

• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience, including hands-on setup and programming.
• Mold-making experience required.
• Experience setting up, programming, and operating 3-5 axis CNC milling machines.
• Ability to program and make adjustments at the machine.
• Demonstrated experience machining large parts or large mold components.
• Strong understanding of tooling selection, workholding, fixtures, and machining processes.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and dimensional tolerances.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment to verify finished components.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot machining problems and maintain part quality.
• Availability to work onsite on the selected first or second shift.
