We're a global leader in precision fluid measuring, liquid handling and laboratory automation - our instruments are used in labs and life-science research around the world. We've been building them for more than 60 years, and our Reno, NV headquarters runs its own machine shop producing precision parts in-house. We're adding a CNC Operator (Machinist) to the shop.

Job Details

What you'll do:

• Produce precision machined parts on CNC lathes and milling machines, working with a supervisor or senior machinist
• Load parts, prove out programs, run machine controls, set offsets and inspect parts for conformance
• Read drawings, manuals, specs and sample parts to work out dimensions, tolerances, operation sequence and setup
• Keep equipment and the work area clean and organized; handle basic preventive maintenance
• Follow the ISO quality program, safety and environmental rules

What you need:

• Hands-on experience running CNC lathes and mills in a manufacturing environment
• Solid with precision measuring tools - calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators
• Able to read drawings and specs, including GD&T
• Working knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures and inserts
• Basic shop math
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Local to the Reno, NV area
