CNC Machine Operator

We are looking for a CNC Machine Operator to join a great company located in Columbia, SC. The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for the fabrication, modification, and assembly of metal components and products using various machine tools. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating CNC machinery and/or other fabrication equipment such as presses, lathes, or roll-forming machines.

Pay: $17/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Reads and interprets blueprints to accurately machine / manufacture parts to specifications.
• Lays out, rolls, forms and bends, fabricates, and installs sheet metal components.
• Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, roll forming or CNC.
• Set up, adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations and manufacturing.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Utilize prints and work instructions to determine key characteristics; measure characteristics to verify conformance to prints and work instructions. Perform in process inspection.
• Properly maintains shop tools and equipment and consistently produces a quality product.
