About the Role: The Class A CDL End Dump Driver plays a critical role in the safe and efficient transportation of bulk materials using end dump trailers. This position requires the driver to operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles to deliver construction materials, aggregates, or other bulk commodities to various job sites or customers. The driver is responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Additionally, the role involves performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety and operational standards. Ultimately, the driver contributes to the overall success of the logistics and supply chain operations by maintaining professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety.
Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious
Class A CDL End Dump Driver to join our team in Douglasville, PA. This role is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of bulk materials using end dump trailers across a regional footprint. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating heavy-duty trucks, performing routine inspections, and ensuring compliance with all DOT and company safety standards.
You will be expected to maintain your vehicle, communicate clearly with dispatchers and customers, and adapt to flexible schedules based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities- Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles per DOT regulations and applicable local, state, and federal laws.
- Transport bulk materials using open-top end dump trailers.
- Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance of bins and equipment using basic hand tools.
- Maintain the cleanliness and proper condition of trucks and equipment.
- Accurately complete and submit required documentation (e.g., maintenance logs, service tickets).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, site personnel, customers, and vendors.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or injuries immediately to the Safety Manager.
- Attend weekly safety meetings, trainings, and briefings.
- Use a computer and mobile device for training, communication, and expense tracking.
- Be available to work flexible hours, including up to 60 hours in a 7-day week or 70 hours in an 8-day cycle.
Minimum Qualifications- Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement.
- End dump, roll-off, or triaxle experience.
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean MVR and ability to pass a road test.
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must reside within the defined hiring area and be willing to park in an approved location.
- No DUI/DWI convictions in the past 3 years (personal or commercial vehicle).
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate, understand road signs, and complete reports.
Preferred Qualifications- 2+ years of full-time, verifiable tractor-trailer experience (or 1 year with truck driving school or military background).
- Proficiency with both manual and automatic transmissions.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Solid time management and route consistency.
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, reach, feel, talk, hear, and see.
- Capable of lifting to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and varied outdoor environmental conditions.
- Willingness to work around moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
