Chemical Process Technician 1 - Finishing

THE POSITION
AGCEA has an excellent opportunity for a Chemical Process Technician in our Finishing department on our Day Shift. Incumbents in this position will operate automated and manual grinding tools and various sandblasting equipment on prescribed materials to remove the remaining excess material and create a smooth surface finish, according to specific procedures.

Responsibilities

1. Prepares and operates manual/automatic equipment to process products through cleaning processes
2. Follows strict safety policies, including wearing Personal Protective Apparel, due to working with various acids, including "bunny" suits in the Cleanroom, following strict cleanroom protocol.
3. Ensures the correct strength/mix of the acid in the tanks
4. Operates a baking furnace, including setup
5. Finishes product with a fine sandblast process
6. Inspects product to ensure product quality
7. Packages finished product in preparation for shipping
8. Performs other tasks in finishing area as assigned

Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Basic ability to read, write, and comprehend detailed instructions
3. Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of related chemical experience
4. Ability to use database systems for timekeeping, managing workflow, understanding product routers, and ensuring quality.
5. Ability to fine sandblast all products and be able to perform maintenance on the machine's ceramic nozzles.
