Mac-Lad Corp is seeking a highly independent, reliable, responsible, and hard-working candidate to fill the open position of Driver with our company. We start our work shifts between 4am and 6am depending on the delivery loads for the day.

We are a family owned and operated, mid-sized building material supplier located on the East End of Long Island, NY. We serve Montauk to Manhattan (and beyond). We have a small fleet of trucks that perform daily deliveries of mostly drywall, metal and hardware items to commercial and residential job sites. This job is not for the faint-of-heart and requires a strong work ethic.

Experience in the construction industry or service-based industry preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.No diploma or formal education necessary. Valid CDL Class A or B License is a mandatory requirement. You must pass a drug test before employment.

This job requires:

• fine-motor skills,
• dependable transportation to and from work every shift
• ability to sit and stand for long periods of time,
• ability to work 8-12 hours a day/5 days per week- sometimes Saturday work,
• ability to lift at least 100 pounds,
• ability to manage a small crew of helpers using effective communication,
• ability to work well with others as a team to complete job tasks,
• ability to talk to customers in a professional and respectful manner,
• ability to focus on the task at hand to reduce damage to property and materials,
• the ability to be outside in all of the weather environments that the Northeast experiences.

We offer the opportunity to opt into health care and 401(k) contributions. We pay a weekly bonus based on delivery volume.
