ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY: The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a regional disaster and hunger-relief network that brings together community resources to share tens of millions of pounds of food with neighbors each year. Our highly-collaborative team believes that empowerment, education and partnerships are key to getting food into the hands of those who need it most. With the help of 145 partner agencies, nearly 200 school partners and more than ten thousand volunteers, our day-to-day efforts help feed nearly 100,000 neighbors each month across our 32-county area. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely
- Work in a team environment
- Class A or Class B license
- Have a good driving record - pass DOT Clearinghouse background check
- Wear the required uniform and steel-toe boots/shoes
- Be sensitive to the needs of low-income people
DUTIES: MOBILE PANTRY DRIVERS: - Prep food to stock and load the mobile truck
- Travel to the assigned location in a timely manner according to TFB driving safety standards
- Work with site volunteers at the designated location
- Ensure food is distributed in a fair and safe manner to recipients
- Collect and deliver paperwork in a timely manner to the warehouse office staff
- Maintain a CDL A or CDL B license and a clean driving record
DELIVERY DRIVERS: - Work with pull team members to ensure the assigned order is pulled correctly
- Use the pick list to double-check the order while loading the truck
- Travel to the assigned agency in a timely manner according to TFB safety standards
- Unload order, checking the pick list again to ensure the delivery is complete
- Deliver paperwork in a timely manner to the warehouse office staff
- Maintain a CDL A or CDL B license and a clean driving record
GENERAL WAREHOUSING: - Practice safe food and equipment handling techniques
- Work with other staff in maintaining safe and sanitary warehouse conditions
- Make accurate counts on inventory, receiving, and distribution of food
- Assist with food bank volunteers as directed
- Treat agency representatives with respect and courtesy
- Operate warehouse equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently
- Work with accuracy and efficiency
Pay Range: $18.50 - $21.50
Compensation details: 18.5-21.5
