Position Overview

As a CDL-A Hotshot Driver, you will operate a pickup truck and 40-foot gooseneck trailer to safely transport freight across assigned routes. This position requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport freight to customer locations across designated routes
• Operate a pickup truck and 40-foot gooseneck trailer in compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Load, unload, and secure cargo using proper flatbed securement techniques
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Maintain accurate logs, mileage records, and fuel documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and schedules
• Deliver exceptional customer service at pickup and delivery locations
• Assist with vehicle inventory management and storage operations when needed
• Coordinate routine maintenance activities, including tire service, fluid changes, and inspections
• Follow all company safety procedures and federal transportation regulations

Required Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A License (or willingness to obtain one through our CDL sponsorship program)
• Clean driving record
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
• Ability to lift, move, and secure heavy cargo safely
• Commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous hotshot, flatbed, or OTR driving experience
• Flatbed cargo securement experience
• Experience operating diesel trucks and trailers
• Knowledge of basic preventative maintenance procedures
• Warehouse, logistics, or transportation experience
• Route delivery or courier experience
