Job Summary:
A Procurement specialist is responsible for purchasing materials, supplies or equipment for a business. Their duties include negotiating deals with suppliers, researching possible item selections and taking inventory of current products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop yearly RFQ packages to negotiate and optimize cost of raw materials, supplies and other products.
- Track negotiation progress using custom made reports for Top purchased items.
- Develop and execute suitable Vendor Agreements for all suppliers and ensure compliance using vendor scorecards, factory visits, audits, random testing and customer complaints and feedback.
- Establishes procedures to accomplish procurement of a variety of materials in a cost-effective manner.
- Establishes Purchasing performance metrics and drives for progress towards assigned targets and goals.
- Analyzes key data and prepares monthly performance reports, and presents to senior management.
- Develop channels of supply and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), driving optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), continuous improvements and project savings opportunities and mitigation of supply chain risks.
- Establishes purchasing policies and procedures and directs purchasing programs accordingly.
- Work cross-functionally and with vendors to develop clear and concise product specifications, including packaging, warehousing, labeling and shipping requirements, for all goods and services.
- Build relationships with suppliers.
- Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma / GED, required.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field, preferred. Related experience can replace this requirement.
- 5+ of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Previous experience in purchasing/procurement, required.
