- Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, or removing old finishes
- Select appropriate paint or finish based on surface, durability requirements, and aesthetic goals
- Apply paints to various surfaces with brushes and rollers
- Protect surrounding areas from paint splatters
- Apply primers and sealers as needed
- Repair small to medium sized holes/imperfections with patching material and/or drywall
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment
- Work independently and prioritize projects
- Clean work areas upon completion of projects
Qualifications- Previous patching and painting experience (2+ years preferred)
- Knowledge of different paint types and surface preparation techniques
- Ability to safely operate painting equipment and tools
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Capable of standing, bending, and reaching for extended periods
- Comfortable working at heights on ladders
Work Environment- Indoor and outdoor settings, depending on project requirements
- May be exposed to paint fumes, dust, and variable temperatures
