Building Maintenance Technician, Commercial Real

As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and functionality of our commercial properties.


Job Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs performed.
  • Collaborate with contractors and vendors to coordinate specialized repairs and maintenance services.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Assist in the management of building systems, including energy management and environmental controls.
  • Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and address their maintenance concerns professionally.


Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building maintenance, preferably in a commercial real estate setting
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to be on-call for emergencies and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with maintenance management software


Compensation details:20-25 Hourly Wage
