Building Engineer or Technician

Our client, a leader in the engineering and technical services industry, is seeking a Building Engineer or Technician to join their team. As a Building Engineer or Technician, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Services department supporting various healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, patience, and a solid understanding of HVAC systems, which will align successfully with the organization's mission to provide exceptional service.

Job Title: Building Engineer or Technician

Location: Eureka, CA

Pay Range: $33/hr. - $37/hr.

What's the Job?

  • Oversee maintenance and repairs to mechanical, industrial, plumbing, structural, life safety, and control systems for facilities.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
  • Review inspections of building and industrial systems to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Operate company-issued vehicles to execute daily work responsibilities effectively.
  • Coach and share knowledge with team members to foster a collaborative work environment.

What's Needed?

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience.
  • Universal CFC certification and a valid driver's license are required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting heavy loads.
  • Strong judgment skills based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
