Description:
This is a full-time, direct placement role at AME, Inc.
- The Building Automation Controls Technician is responsible for completing service calls while maintaining positive client relations
- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service calls on existing BMS systems
- Troubleshoot installations and correct deficiencies without direct supervision
- Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved
- Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences are developed
- Identify opportunities for additional building enhancements and perform upgrades and/or small scale retrofits on existing systems
- Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on estimating additional work
- Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS systems
- Be proficient in knowledge of following equipment: VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water Systems, and Lighting
- Stay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies
- Effectively provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve the installation process
- Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by management
Requirements:
- Field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, & software integration
- Knowledge of Niagara commissioning tools and field circuit debugging skills
- Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical fields
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
- Strong communication, organizational and documentation skills
- Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Niagara, various operating systems
- Proven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction
- Deploy, revise, checkout, and commission building automation, DDC, energy management and controls systems hardware, software and graphics
- This position will require the successful candidate to obtain/show proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination
Compensation details: 40-60 Hourly Wage
