Automotive Mechanic/Technician 5

Our client, a leading player in the automotive industry, is seeking an Automotive Mechanic/Technician 5 to join their team. As an Automotive Mechanic/Technician 5, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have creativity, strong verbal and written communication skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Automotive Mechanic/Technician 5

Location: Long Beach, CA

Pay: $39/hour

What's the Job?

• Determine engineering requirements by conducting inspections and analytical tests, analyzing and synthesizing data, maintaining control charts, determining root causes, and preparing bid specifications.
• Resolve engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information, researching, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques.
• Recommend solutions and prepare drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
• Meet cost standards by preparing cost-benefit analyses, and track and report expenses.
• Maintain and improve quality results by completing quality assurance tests, following standards, studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, and implementing changes.

What's Needed?

• Associates degree in engineering technology or related field required.
• 10+ years of experience required.
• Basic ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.
• Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
• Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field.
