Automotive Interiors Quality Engineer

Our client, a leading innovator in the automotive and transportation industry, is seeking an Automotive Interiors Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team. As an Automotive Interiors Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Product Development Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for quality and craftsmanship, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Automotive Interiors Quality Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $90/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Lead cross-functional activities to embed craftsmanship requirements early in product development.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to define vehicle-level craftsmanship targets.
• Participate in development of sensory and functional quality targets, including scent, lighting, NVH, and color & trim.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance brand perception and user trust throughout the product lifecycle.
• Report progress and escalate decisions to the Director of Geometric Integration as needed.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 10 years of craftsmanship engineering experience in automotive or transport industries.
• At least 5 years of experience leading forums and making key decisions in the industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of visual, tactile, olfactory, auditory, and functional quality standards.
