We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assembly Technician to support our Manufacturing Engineering team in a fast-paced product development environment. This is a full-time, contract and onsite in Fairview, NC. The schedule will be 1st Shift.
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
What You'll Do
Inspection of own work using quality standards and work instructions.
Conduct pull tests as needed for particular operations
Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices.
Inspect product to print
Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product
May troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
General housekeeping of work area
Follow company and department guidelines, procedures and policies.
Follow safety guidelines
Perform all other work-related duties as assigned
Read and perform tasks according to drawings
What You'll Need
Required:
HS diploma or GED required
Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic computer skills
Good communication skills
Available to work overtime to support production goals as needed
Must be proficient and able to understand written instructions in English language
Preferred:
Ability to interpret product blueprints
Ability to multitask and prioritize work to successfully accomplish job duties.
Experience with using measuring devices (gages, calipers, etc.)
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, use hands for fine motor tasks such as handling or feeling objects, reach with arms and hands, and communicate effectively through speech and hearing
The role also requires the ability to handle small components under a microscope for prolonged durations
Regular physical demands include lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds routinely, up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Safety shoes are required

$17.61 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
