Assembly Operator II - Day Shift

Operator Level II must have good technical knowledge and process great manual dexterity. Ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics, etc. and follow them with precision. Will use your hands or machines to do the job with great precision and accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble product using soldering iron, microscope and various small hand tools
  • Able to follow instructions on assembly drawings
  • Using dispenser to apply epoxy for staking
  • Mechanical assembly using small power tools
  • Solder seal stainless steel housings
  • Solder diode (any type of solder)
  • Maintain equipment in good condition
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Develop speed and accuracy in all aspects
  • Proficient in building M1's (any type of solder) - SMT and connectorized
  • Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, some college is preferred
  • Ability to work eight (8) hours under a microscope and utilize hand tools; good dexterity, eye/hand coordination
  • Proven experience as assembler
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy are required
  • Develop speed and accuracy in all aspects
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, safety management, and controls and instrumentation
  • May perform On-the-Job training, as needed
