As the Armorer Lead, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below, leading the Build Department team with the combined firearms assembly and assembly line technology expertise developed across the full Armorer and Armory Technician career path.

Essential Functions:

Oversee and guide a team of armorers and armory technicians in the Build Department, demonstrating a commitment to upholding the highest standards of environmental health, safety, and operational excellence.Maintain oversight of team members across all armorer and armory technician levels, providing necessary support, training, and development to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.Actively monitor and correct team behaviors to align with company standards; offer immediate feedback and guidance to ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and operational procedures.Set, monitor, and achieve daily production targets while engaging and aligning the team to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Lead daily safety meetings and ensure the implementation and auditing of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Participate in all company-required environmental, health, and safety training.Ensure shifts and breaks start and ed on time and maintain active communication with the team to meet daily production requirements.Perform Assembly Quality checks and firearms assembly tasks as needed to support production coverage and maintain technical proficiency.Apply assembly line technology expertise to support troubleshooting of equipment issues and coordinate with Armory Technician personnel on equipment-related production impacts.Work collaboratively with various teams and departments to troubleshoot and resolve production and quality issues, prioritizing tasks effectively.Utilize Lean tools to continuously improve armory and assembly line processes.Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures.Participates in the company's efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environmentOther responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High school diploma or GED required; demonstrated competency at the Armory Technician 3 level required. This presupposes mastery of the full career path: Armorer 1 through 3 and Armory Technician 1 through 3. Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform essential job functions.1-2 years of experience in a leadership or team lead role, with a proven record of professionalism and integrity.Demonstrated expertise in both firearm assembly and assembly line technology at the Daniel Defense standard.Excellent teamwork abilities and effective communication skills, capable of working proactively with all levels of leadership and staff.Ability to train, develop, and mentor team members at all armorer and armory technician levels; strong ability to give clear, direct feedback.Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and handle pressure, with a willingness to put in extra hours as needed.Competence with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to complete required reporting and documentation.Demonstrated ability to recognize and work in accordance with our Company Values.It is understood employees may be assigned to other departments, functional groups, and/or shifts as deemed necessary by management.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
