About the Role

JPMS Distribution Center is looking for an experienced Area Manager of Internal Operations with experience case pick, packaging machinery, inventory order fulfillment, MHE, labor management, performance improvement, and team building.


What You will Do:

  • Develop and implement Inventory strategies to optimize the flow of goods and ensure inventory accuracy and at the Distribution Center
  • Oversee the warehouse inventory team and monitor site inventory levels to ensure the site has enough stock to sell, ship, or deliver to customers
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including production, sales, and customer service, to ensure accurate inventory
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal partners and outside warehouses to ensure seamless coordination and execution of distribution activities
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on Inventory levels, throughput data, daily, weekly, and monthly KPI's
  • Facilitate and document employee training
  • Complete Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) as needed
  • Maintain compliance with all operating procedures including daily sanitation of processing room and equipment, pre-op sanitation checks and operational sanitation programs
  • Ensure compliance with in-house and/or external specifications and standards to include HACCP and cGMP
  • Develops, leads, and executes continuous improvement activities i.e., safety, cost/efficiency, and engagement
  • Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Ensure that product loads are built and delivered to company standards

People Management

  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and develops team members
  • Supervise logistics staff to ensure that all operational activities are executed as planned
  • Monitors employee productivity and timekeeping
  • Enforce safety regulations and quality assurance protocols



Required Qualifications:

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management software
  • Experience a WMS System
  • Strong understanding of customer-specific distribution requirements and guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customers
  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to improve logistics processes
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in logistics and distribution
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of managing teams and operations cost
  • 3+ years in managing a team of direct reports required

Preferred Qualifications:

Skills:

  • FDA MoCRA Compliance (Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act)
  • MS Dynamics 365

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, transportation and logistics, or supply chain management preferred

Working Conditions

Warehouse environment


Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility and Movement: Ability to walk, stand, or move around the warehouse for extended periods (up to 8-10 hours/day). Frequently climbing stairs or ladders, bend, reach, stoop and kneel regularly and occasionally squatting and crouching.
  • Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally assisting in manual handling of heavier loads, often with team assistance or equipment and the ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs. sometimes repeatedly.
  • Manual Dexterity: Basic handling of handheld scanner, radios, tablets or other operational equipment. Occasional use of hand tools or packaging materials.
  • Environmental Conditions: Tolerance to warehouse environment, including variable temperature (hot in summer, cold in winter). Ability to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like safety shoes, high-visible vests, and sometimes gloves or hearing protection, and exposure to noise, dust and fast-paced operations.

Cognitive and Sensory Requirement

  • Ability to respond quickly to alarms or verbal commands.
  • Alertness for safety compliance and incident prevention.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Strong spatial awareness to move safely among equipment and personnel.


Competitive Compensation:

  • The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000 to $85,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including geographic location, experience, skills, and education.
  • Discretionary Bonus Plan: This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan, based on personal performance and company results.
