The Analyst, Gov't Programs role will be responsible for assisting in the creation and continuous monitoring of control environments intended to support Federal Government contract requirements and compliance. Also responsible for providing financial analysis, reporting, and general support to Managers and Directors across the Federal Government business, as well as federal and state subsidy programs managed by the team. Has in-depth experience, knowledge, and skills in own discipline. Works with Manager to determine work priorities. Seeks opportunities within Comcast to develop, network and grow professionally. Successful candidate should be motivated by process creation, enhancement and thinking outside a business as usual mindset. Additionally, candidates who posses passion and drive for process improvement, developing financial/operational control environments & creating and communicating impactful stories to drive team initiatives will be highly considered.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Provides assurance of billing accuracy by developing audits and reconciliations for Federal Government contracts
  • Ensures non-standard billing and invoice contractual requirements are met and proposes systematic and/or process solutions to remediate issues identified
  • Develops and monitors Federal and State Government sales, order management and billing control environments, ensuring controls are operating effectively
  • Provides support to both internal and external auditors during assessments and audits
  • Processes various contract close-out and other billing or contract related requests from Federal Government customers and sales teams
  • Handles internal and external elevations from Federal Government customers or sales teams
  • Provides ongoing analysis and review of government programs process, systems and tools, driving continuous improvements in the organization
  • Approves transactions, evaluates opportunities and makes recommendations regarding project progress and future business opportunities.
  • Analyzes and tracks key financial metrics and operational procedures to foster process improvements.
  • Performs analysis of financial statement accounts and specific projects, as directed.
  • Assists with the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Participates with the preparation of month and year-end processes by reviewing actual vs. budget/forecast variances, reviewing financial trends and making recommendations for accruals.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
