2nd Shift Warehouse Lead

In absence of Warehouse Management/Supervision, the Lead Position assumes full responsibility for warehouse operations for the assigned facility. The position is responsible for accurate and efficient execution of all work processes necessary to complete the assigned workload in a safe and productive manner while meeting customer expectations. Ensures the operating efficiency, accuracy and damage targets are met by managing and communicating with team members and Warehouse leadership.

Essential Functions:

Technical Skills:

  • Keeps the facility tour and audit ready by following and recording information on the daily cleaning schedule and warehouse cleaning schedule.
  • Assist in effective staffing of the facility during their shift.
  • Assists in maintaining accurate records for inventory.
  • Assist in ensuring Roberts Warehouse follows all applicable building and environmental governmental regulations.
  • Helps in implementing projects of the warehouse.
  • Fills out and maintains administrative records as necessary for all department activities.
  • Enter data into reports and billing accurately.
  • Work OT when needed. Ranging from weekday OT to weekend coverage.
  • Promotes safety by following all Plant safety rules and reports violations and unsafe practices to appropriate Management Personnel.
  • In absence of Warehouse Management responsible for assuring adequate working conditions, safety programs and appropriate maintenance on equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate necessary information requested by customer either by phone, e-mail or other correspondence.
  • Must be able to follow all Company procedures and directives.
  • Must know and follow all GMP procedures.
  • Must be able to travel to other Roberts warehouses within reason if needed.
  • Skilled in the operation of relevant material handling equipment (ex. forklifts, stretch wrappers, etc.). Able to effectively train others in how to safely operate.
  • Must be proficient in understanding and planning material handling activities. This includes a fundamental understanding of warehouse allocation and space utilization.


  • High School Diploma
  • Lean training preferred, not required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must be proficient in basic math.
  • Must be proficient in the Wise system and understand all necessary operations and reports.
  • Must be efficient and accurate in data/billing entries into the system. Must achieve all necessary deadlines.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate to customer by e-mail, phone, and other correspondences. Must be prompt and accurate in all responses.
  • Skilled in the operation of relevant material handling equipment (ex. forklifts, stretch wrappers, etc.). Able to effectively train others in how to safely operate.
