SHIFT:

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday (3:00PM-12:30AM)

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Shift Lead I is responsible for assisting the Plant Leadership in managing total plant operations for an assigned shift and delivering superior customer satisfaction by driving results and exceeding expectations in the key areas of safety, service, quality and cost. Specific responsibilities include:
    • Supervise the work of all production employees - oversees production and shipping schedules based on availability of raw and finished goods.
    • Provide hands-on leadership as a Shift Lead, responsible for mentoring and coaching all production employees and working through employee relations issues.
    • Support plant administration to ensure compliance to established policies
    • Capable of enforcing policies and procedures to drive inventory accuracy
    • Provide leadership to production staff to effectively train, develop, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities
    • Capable of filling in for Plant Supervisor as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience in a plant leadership role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong customer focus orientation
  • Strong ability to build consensus
  • Demonstrated success in delivering strong employee relations
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to drive safety and create a safety conscious culture
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • 3+ years previous experience leadership in an industrial, fast-moving setting with industrial machinery
