Position Overview
This position will work closely with the design team, sales representatives, and customers to create structural designs and prototype samples that meet our customers' needs.
During this internship, you will have the opportunity to learn about:
Various types of paperboard materials and the different layouts and styles of cartons.
The basics of using Artios CAD, which is similar to AutoCAD.
How to operate a sample maker and plotter.
How to conceptualize designs in 3D and view them in a flat format.
Part-time, flexible hours will be offered to accommodate your school schedule.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate closely with the design team to complete daily tasks.
Use the CAD system to restore designs and plot them on the CAD table.
Assist with some packaging design.
Cut out prototypes using the sample maker.
Work cross-functionally to support various projects related to packaging materials.
QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Technical degree program in a related field.
Good understanding of geometry and mathematics for calculating angles and lines of multi-sided shapes.
Proficient in computer software, including CAD software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
